Sheena Phillips : composer and choral director

photograph

I am a composer and choral director based in Columbus, Ohio, where I have lived for eight years since moving here from Scotland. I am Artistic Director of the Magpie Consort, a sixteen voice group with an eclectic repertoire ranging from Medieval songs to contemporary writing. I am also Director of Music at Summit on Sixteenth, a United Methodist church in the Ohio State University campus area, a Co-Director of the Columbus Women's Chorus, and Director of the Women's Chorale at Otterbein College, Westerville.

I write and arrange music for many groups in the Columbus area and further afield, especially in Scotland, where I still have strong links. Recent commissions include for the National Youth Choir of Scotland; First Congregational Church, Columbus, Ohio; the Lancaster Chorale, Ohio; Cappella Nova and the Dunedin Consort of Scotland; and many other church, community and children's choirs. I am published by the National Youth Choir of Scotland, Santa Barbara Music Press, Roger Dean (a division of Lorenz), Earthsongs, and online at Canasg Music Publishing.

PDF sample copies of any of my compositions can be requested by email (see address below).
